Inchbae 1994
Launching a temporary 50 foot Double/Single Bailey Bridge across the Abhainn Strath Rainich river at Inchbae in 1994.
A single panel (10 foot) launching nose can be seen furthest from the camera, and as the bridge is constructed and launched out across the rollers, the end nearest the camera is loaded up with other bridge parts to counter balance it, until the nose reaches rollers placed on the far bank.
The bridge is then rolled into its final position, temporarily secured in place, and the nose panels removed.
End posts (8 in total) are then fitted at each corner of the bridge, and it is then jacked down off the rollers, onto permanent bank mounting plates.
This bridge was used for Timber Harvesting purposes and then removed after the area was re-planted.
