Steyr cable crane/lorry on way to Fort William

Photographs courtesy of Walter Strzygowski (Austria) who accompanied the new Steyr Crane/lorry KSK16 from Hull to Fort William with three Steyr crew members for delivery and demonstration prior to purchase by Riddochs of Rothiemay who had built the modern sawmill nearby at Corpach.

The Steyr cable crane is seen here passing through a small Highland Village which perhaps someone will recognize. Perhaps near Fort William such as Kinlochleven?

The police outrider is in red jacket! The writer does not remember this jacket colour being used but perhaps again someone will confirm?

The man with the sheet of paper in hand and sunglasses is Mr B A Johnston who was a Director of Riddochs of Rothiemay and responsible for the Fort William section. He is driving the yellow Ford with Walter as passenger and led the convoy from Hull up to Fort William.

Can anyone say what Mr Johnston’s first names were?

Uncle Johnnie's first name was Bertram. He was in the Army in India and latterly in the Territorials with the rank of Captain. His brother Cyril was famous as a WW2 Dakota glider tug.
His wife Rosemary was my aunt.
They had two sons, David and Peter. Sadly I lost touch.
