Twin furrow plough at Rosarie?

The twin furrow plough was designed to carry out complete ploughing with the main aim of suppressing heather and disrupting any compaction and iron pan to allow Sitka spruce to grow on these more difficult sites. The initial success with Sitka spruce growth was short lived as it slowed down after about year five and in lower rainfall areas could be prone to drought crack in very dry years.
