Timber loading Monaughty Forest

The outlook across the valley (Pluscardyn) and the Douglas fir logs and trees almost certainly point to Heldon Hill in Monaughty Forest in this case.
Possibly someone with recognise the lorry and crane type and even perhaps the lorry contractor. There is a challange! Robbie Duncan! (see comments)

The truck is a Ford 'D' Series, and the crane is a Foco 600, which had a capacity of a ton at 20 feet - quite a capacity for its time.

Looks like Robbie Duncan he drove independent unit that loaded trailers for other units . Looks like that set up in picture

Yep,with those side burns it's definitely Robbie - he was loading trailers in the woods for years as George says, all over the highlands and the north east with the old Matador/Hiab.In about 1988 he started double shifting a new F7 6x4 artic lorry with Leslie Roy, first time Riddochs had double shifted a lorry on a year round basis.
