Earth Pillars Speyside Forest

A fine view of the geological phenomenon known locally as ‘the earth pillars’ beside the River Spey in Ordiequish Forest near Fochabers. The ‘pillars’ appear to be composed of a more erosion resistant section of the sand and gravel conglomerate dominating much of the site.
