Douglas Fir in Monaughty Forest

View of Douglas fir stand with small label on tree to indicate it was planted in 1928 (or possibly 1926) when the area was known as Heldon Forest after the Hill of the same name. The Douglas fir was apparently of exceptionally good quality in this forest but the stand must have suffered quite a bit of damage during the 1953 gale and may be the reason there is so much regeneration of young trees as shown in the other photographs within the PDF.
Does anyone remember the trees in this location?
