Deer damage to Norway spruce

Date Added: 15 March 2016 Contributor: Norman Davidson Year of Photo: 1980 Picture No: 3283

The photograph is courtesy of Inverness, Ross and Skye Forest District and staff at their Fort Augustus office.

Location, year and man not named in this image of bark stripping by deer. Red deer certainly could strip bark in early spring when sap was rising as did Sika deer even more prolifically.

Can anyone name the man?
