Pitfichie Forest Road works
The photograph is courtesy of Inverness, Ross and Skye Forest District and staff at their Fort Augustus office.
No information on the year but could be around 1967 and shows a Keir and Cawder double toggle 24’’ x18’’ crusher at work on some modest sized rocks crushing them making new forest roads in Pitfichie and Corrennie Forests.
Can anyone name the men and also the type and model of the FC tipper lorries?
It is just possible that the rock could come from the tailings of the former granite quarries in Pitfichie Forest
