Winding walks Car Park - Speymouth Forest

One of a number of photographs taken by George Dey, District officer, of newly built car parks and recreation facilities some of which no longer exist or have been substantially modified. These images chart the early days of opening the Forestry Commission forests in Northeast Scotland to the public.

The well landscaped extensive car park in Speymouth Forest appears as if it is newly completed and has picnic tables which were for over the next thirty years the standard design.
