The view shows the area prior to the extensive tree planting in Benmore Forest (then part of Shin Forest) which extended from the left hand side all the way down to Ledmore.
The PDF shows the view from the west end of the then Benmore Forest fence where a cattle grid was positioned on the public road. Note Suilven standing high on the left.
