Machine and three men

Date Added: 01 March 2016 Contributor: Norman Davidson Year of Photo: 1975 Picture No: 3210

The photograph is courtesy of Inverness, Ross and Skye Forest District and staff at their Fort Augustus office.

Unknown location but could be the Culbin or Laigh of Moray Forest area. Can anyone identify any of the people and machine?

This could well be one of a number of photographs taken by George Dey, District officer.

I believe the machine is a Thwaites all drive “With major infrastructure projects driving demand for larger site dumpers, this 8 ton machine delivered and provided the product solution that filled the gap between, standard site dumpers and Articulated Dump Trucks (ADT).”
