Culbin Forest shoreline sand stabilisation

This is a series of three images showing the results in 1973 of sand stabilisation measures on the sea front of Culbin Forest. This image is of Broplane mesh laid flat on the sand trapping sand and the PDF has two further images of various groyne configurations on trial along the shore. They include zigzag form with wave screen, straight line formation down to sea and parallel with sea edge.
Does anyone know the name of the gentleman?
