Photograph is courtesy of Inverness, Ross and Skye Forest District and staff at their Fort Augustus office.

Beautiful image of the village judged to be taken around 1965 by the car models outside the houses and in particular the Mini Van. Can anyone name the other cars types?

No information available and any details of when the houses were built, who lived in them would be very welcome. Was the large house a Forestry Commission house at this time?

My great-grandfather George Anderson was head forester there years back. I just came across your page while doing some family research and love the history! Comment left on 14 June 2025 at 00:32 by Angela Anderson-Cobb
