Planting sequence map — Culbin

Maps are courtesy of Moray and Aberdeenshire Forest District.

Useful map to show the planting progress over the decades as the sands were gradually afforested by the Forestry Commission and early Estate Foresters from the 1880s. Note that the Low Wood was planted and in the late 1800s and felled during WW1 or shortly after before being sold to the FC.

Note the red areas in Comparment Nos 151-159 and 193 were replanted following a fire in 1942.
