Newtyle Forest — Map 2 - Romach
Maps are courtesy of Moray and Aberdeenshire Forest District.
One of two hand drawn map of Newtyle Forest this being the southern section where planting first started in 1953 and continued on until 1956. The tree species is poorly recorded in the compartments which run from No 33 to No 58.
The forest is located about 8 miles due south of Forres, a separate unit at one time, but was absorbed into Monaughty Forest unit in later years.
