Maps are courtesy of Moray and Aberdeenshire Forest District.

One of a series of four maps covering the once separate unit of Aultmore Forest which lies in the old county of Banff between the coastal town of Cullen and Keith. Unfortunately the original planting maps from the Forest have not been located.

This is western part of the large area known as Aultmore Forest with Compartments running from 200-304. Much of this area was planted between 1965-1968 reflecting the start of the era of larger ploughing and planting programmes on peatland sites. Much of the area is planted with Lodgepole pine either pure or in mixture with Sitka spruce. Some additional planting in the 1970s has continued on the southern boundary.

Areas mentioned on the map caver are:
Tarrymount
Millstone Hill
Henheads
Herricks
Addie Hill

Any details about the forest or your work in the forest are very welcome.
