Glenlivet Forest — Map 3 Tomintoul area

One of a set of four maps (only three to hand) of Glenlivet Forest (Forestry Commission) used up until around 1968. The mix of planting years point to acquisitions or leases coming in at various times. The earliest planting and beginning with Compartment No 1 is in 1948 in the area east of Tomintoul. There after the plantings and compartment numbers are erratically placed but occur up until 1968 and in compartment No 380.
