Loaded Land Rover at Glen Affric Forest

A view over Beinn-nan-Sparra forest in throes of planting preparations. The team are taking advantage of some nearby dead ‘Granny Caledonian Pine’ firewood for the Cannich bothy. Bill comments ‘It was 150 years old plus and full of resin and you had to sit 10 foot back from the fire in the bothy but you soon dried out! Not very PC these days I suspect, ‘Deadwood’ etc.
This is Rura Wladyslaw’s Land Rover with 621 Jonsered saw and the old ‘Dunlop’ safety wellies with the ‘cooling fins’ up the front and steel toe caps, stuffed in the load. Note the bag with the chain saw tools’

Pleased you found the site and the image. I suspect there will be a bit more 'shrubbery' about and maybe some SS, if they haven't been purged for 'ecological' reasons. :¬)
