Checking Vapourer Moth larvae damage

No information on this photograph but it appears that some of the Lodgepole pine shoots have been attacked by Vapourer moth larvae and the outbreak is being looked at by Forestry Commission entomologist who could be David Barbour?

Aye Norman, I think it more likely to be Sandy MacArthur, Keeper in Torrachilty at Rogie (after Isador Symkowski's retirement) looking at sawfly or Vapourer moth caterpillers up in the west end of Glen Sgiathach above Rogie croft. Dr John Stokely was the FR Entomologist at the time, if I remember correctly.

Bill, I'm standing beside the great Sandy MacArthur right now, and he confims that it is NOT him in the photo. However, he does send his regards!

Aye Sandy and Hugh, my profound apologies Sandy, I did think the camera and field book a little OTT for you, but you could have been 'looking after' them for the photographer. I see Hugh still disturbs your peace and tranquility, as he does mine from time to time. ;¬) Thank you Hugh for correcting me. As for it being David Barbour? I remember the name, but have no recollection of his appearance and my apologies to David, if indeed it is him.
