Kockums Forwarder at Culloden
The photograph is courtesy of the family of George Dey. George took many forestry photographs in his forestry career and many are now shown on this web site. Check under ‘Groups’ and George Dey Collection.
A demonstration Kockums 84-31 machine owned by Research and Development Branch of the Forestry Commission going through its paces in front of what is assumed to be a collection of foresters from around the region. The registration is PSC402V but no FC number is seen.
The observers are really too distant to identify but it is just possible that 4th from the right could be Alastair MacLeod (Glenmore), 5th from right Sandy Sandilands, 6th from right Len MacRae.
It would be interesting to hear from anyone who remembers this event. The PDF contains another couple of views.
