Ploughing in Glensgaich, Torrachilty
The photograph is courtesy of the family of George Dey. George took many forestry photographs in his forestry career and many are now shown on this web site. Check under ‘Groups’ and George Dey Collection.
One of a series of photographs of single furrow ploughing with a Caterpillar D4 and another unknown tractor possibly a Fiat?
The ploughs are Universal or Parkgate frames with single furrow S60 boot throwing the turf to the right. The driver of the Caterpillar GFS 127T with apical track plates fitted is Jocky Banks from Ardgay.
The PDF shows more ploughing action on the site and closer views of the other tractor.
