One of a set of slides found in Aberdeenshire District office showing draining activity in Whitelees Forest this one annotated 'Backactor, Terra tyres, and Side bucket 1976'
Most likely one of the Ford County conversions fitted with the low ground pressure Terra tyres which as I remember cost about £1000 each in those days. On soft unbroken ground this machine type was able to perform reasonably well but in ploughed areas great care had to be taken in crossing the furrows as both sets of wheels could down into the furrow ditches and leave the machine stranded.
Note the Morris type van in the back ground.
