Culbin Forest thatching of sand dunes

Photo by B R Feaver but no other information apart from year and location. Following the end of the war the Forestry Commission staff must have regained access from the military to the eastern end of Culbin which had the high dunes and was a live munitions training area.
The Head Forester at the time is recorded as WR Campbell and he could be one of the two men featured looking over the forest map. The material for the thatching looks like fairly fresh pine and birch and most likely come from nearby plantations possibly some being felled for the war effort and for mining timber.
