Group at Forestry Show or Demonstration -1950s
Photograph courtesy of Freida Murray, Buckie, daughter of Robert Allison.
No information on people, year or location but going by the labelled sawn boles of trees next to the group and the suggestion of seed beds and tent roof behind could be a forestry event near the Bush Edinburgh. Equally possible is that this could be a private estate with extensive forestry interests.
Robert Allison is in th eback row with the pipe. The man sitting in the middle is possibly John Woolridge originally a FC District Officer then latterly managing director of Riddoch’s Sawmills. The man sitting to the right has tentatively been named as Ian Watt who was a District Officer in the Tentsmuir area of Fife.
Any help to name others and confirm or correct above would be very welcome.
