His lorry is seen here loaded with what looks to be a mix of large Douglas fir and Silver fir logs from Ardverikie Estate.
Raymond recalls driving logs from this Estate for many years as the crop of mature trees was felled and replanted over quite a long period. The author remembers seeing the progress and the new timber roads going in to get connect to the Torgulbin Bridge sited between Laggan Loch and Laggan dam.
