Glentanar Estate — 1953 Gale damage

This is not Glen Tanar Estate but its neighbour to the east, Birse Estate. The loch in the picture is the Birsemore Loch and the blown trees are on Birsemore Hill. The boundary between Brise and Glen Tanar is the Fungle Burn which is out of shot on the left of the picture. Aboyne Bridge is just visibile at the top of the photograph
