A series of photographs taken at Parkgate Engineering Works owned by the Murray family who manufactured almost all the forestry ploughs from the 1950s through to the 1980s. This photograph possibly taken by Donald Thomson in 1976 shows an unknown version of a D60/-/ t plough head. This version appears to have a short nose which usually worked quite well in softer peats. This is the type of head that replaced the single furrow peat ploughs. The aim being to create more stable forests and also reduction in ploughing costs.
