Double mouldboard deep tine plough at Parkgate

A series of photographs taken at Parkgate Engineering Works owned by the Murray family who manufactured almost all the forestry ploughs from the 1950s through to the 1980s. This photograph taken by Donald Thomson in 1976 shows a D60/T90/ tine plough head with label which reads Wm Clark, Parkgate Dumfries for FC transport.
This head has the fixed side plates in between which the universal carriage beam fits and is held in place by cross bolts fitted into the predrilled holes. This arrangement allowed operators to adjust the rake of the head into a more aggressive or less aggressive mode by the choice of cross bolt positions.
