Double furrow ploughing trials at Whitelee Forest

D90/-/t ploughing at 75 cms depth in peat and is an obvious disaster caused by the deep going steep sided plough bucket. The turf coming out had such a narrow top profile in relation to its depth that it had little option but fall away from the furrow and lie on its side.
