Double furrow ploughing trials at Whitelee Forest

D45/-/t Old deep version of Cuthbertson P type plough output which looks the most consistent but perhaps a bit wide across the furrow. One of the photo copies annotates this as a D30 plough and it does look more like this which was a wide bottomed shallow plough and would definitely be a bit wide. On the whole though this ‘oldie’ has coped well with the conditions.
