Photographs taken by Donald Thomson of Rotary plough trial in Dalby in Feb 1975. The images show the motor, plough mounting, soil mixing and complete ploughing finish.
The ultimate aim was to achieve a mixed soil medium into which trees could be planted. Ideally the leached lower soils to be mixed with the humus from the top levels providing aeration and some fertility for the tree roots for full depth of the plough.
Any more details about this plough and the people very welcome. See PDF for more images.
