The North Scotland D7 tractor in action on the experimental site doing complete ploughing and has to run with one track in the previous furrow – hence the awkward angle. This machine registration number is DLE660C and it is almost certainly Archie Clyne at the controls. The plough is doing a remarkably good job of the difficult brash covered site and getting an even soil cover. Note that this tractor has the old plough mounting system where it is mounted on a short cross beam fitted to the rear of the tractor. In the PDF the other D7 tractor can just be seen in the distance. Photographs by Donald Thomson December 1975.
