Some dramatic views of the massive Lokomo NA15 Plough being pulled through the forest by the very large BTD 20 tractor (JUL514D). The anchored tractor is now winching in the plough which is ploughing a 3 foot drain into the heavy clay and mineral spoil of the forest. Note the large pieces of timber and logs inserted into the lugs on the backs of the mouldboards to throw the spoil well back from the drain edge. On the rear of the plough are large slings and hooks to assist with recovery of the plough in the event of getting bogged. Photos by ESB Chapman May 1966.
