Scotsman aerial photograph of a ploughed forest where cross draining is underway to establish the permanent drain network.
This image is taken near Tweedshaws Farm, Glenbreck Forest, Dumfries shire looking over the Broughton to Moffat road.

This former grazing land consisted of mainly peaty gley soils with Nardus/Fescue and Molinia/Calluna vegetation which was ploughed with FC tine as well as single and double furrow Cuthbertson ploughs.
