A large number drainage machines were demonstrated at an event in Kershope Forest in May 1964. Much of the event appears to have taken place on a cleared windblow site with heavy brash but some sections of standing forest were used to show drainage along cleared and or felled rackways. Photographs by Wm C Anderson.

This is the only photographic example of a forest plough being used and shows the results following the winching of a deep draining plough through a cleared forest rack way. The cut branches and other debris has prevented the spoil from the plough head from being pushed well clear of the drain and much has fallen back in.
