This demonstration was primarily for the South Scotland Conservancy staff and quite a large number of plough types were gathered at Greskine Forest for the event in June 1963. This particular part of the demonstration shows a prototype tine plough with a tine plough head and a sub soiling tine fitted to the plough frame. The sub-soiler tine reached depths of 30-36 inches and was spaced on the frame such that on subsequent runs the plough furrow lay over on top of the previous sub-soiler line. The planted tree was there for also over this line.
The International TD6 tractor RLW870 has featured on other sites. Can anyone name the driver and any of the assembled people?
