This demonstration was primarily for the South Scotland Conservancy staff and quite a large number of plough types were gathered at Greskine Forest for the event in June 1963. This particular part of the demonstration shows the latest mounted tine plough configuration on a Fiat 70C tractor (FC 4348). The hydraulic ram is mounted on top of the plough beam which in turn is fixed to the frame of the tractor with a spring dampened pivot head thus allowing the whole plough assembly to move sideways when striking rocks and reducing stress on tractor and driver. Note the distinct upward bend in the beam caused by the forces from the plough head.

Can anyone name the driver?
