Shawnee Warrior Excavator photographed by A I Fraser in 1962 most likely at Halwill Forest where a large draining experiment was laid out. The bucket shape has been modified from the normal excavator type to the triangular land drainage profile so common in present day use. Not also the use of hard steel edges possibly adapted from that used on the bottoms of bull dozer blades bolted on to the bucket causing distinctive marks on the drain side. The outfit is creating a very well shaped drain three foot deep in stiff clay.
