Double Tine plough at Parkgate

Some doubt about the 1956 date but a good image of a plough with a modern Parkgate frame, tractor type wheels but still relies on winch to lift head from ground. The tine is obviously a ripper tooth with main central board added on. A short note with the photograph intimates ‘Penistan’s version not used in South Scotland. Mould boards in low position’. On one of the images again a short note to indicate this plough was a trial development for M Penistan (Chief Engineer?) in the mid 50s.
In some of the images the bolt attachments of the mouldboards through the central body of the plough can clearly be seen as can the bracket for the stabiliser bar for the high board position.
Note the scatter of ploughs behind which may well indicate the location as Clark’s yard at the Parkgate Engineering works.
