Early trial of a Blaw Knox ripper tooth onto which has been fixed a Cockshott mouldboard the whole assembly mounted on a Cuthbertson carriage. Note the coulter knife rather than a coulter disc. Also known as Blane’s tine which followed on from his trial of three tines on Le Tourneau frame.
