Caption reads ‘Fowler FT3 Tractor towing SMB Cuthbertson. Loch Ard 1949.’

Appears to be a Forestry Commission outfit Reg No JXK103 and FC No 0303 (possibly?) carrying out some spaced ploughing with an F type head. It looks to be about 15 foot centres but difficult to judge. Note the arched frame on this plough taking place of the original square frame of its predecessors. In the distance on the right hand side a man is visible walking among the ploughing and yet further in the distance there is some other small machine at the end of the plough run.

This plough operator well jacketed against the wind has a large collection of hand draining tools in the open top of the draining head. Rutter, drain drag, spade, pipes and some lengths of tree stems.

Can anyone name the actual location and the tractor driver?
