‘Molinia peat laid out with drains at about 21 foot spacing by Cuthbertson plough. Dunns, Minard Forest, Argyll 1948.’
The actual spacing of the single furrow ploughing is a bit variable but the turfs have been hand laid out at 2 or 3 rows in between the drains with possible tree spacing at around 5.5 feet.
