Modified Ransomes Solotrac with 26 inch share
Forestry Commission copyright images of Forest Research photographs courtesy of Glenn Brearley, Roslin. B841
Rather limited view of the rear end of a strengthened Solotrac plough but no indication of modified points or of the location of the machine. Dated approximately as 1952 and location thought to be Speymouth
Comments intimate that the 26 inch share gave a broad shallow turf. Mostly used on old arable land and planting of trees took place either in the furrow bottom or on the turf.
