Small map of Skelbo and Balvraid Woods on which has been added the Wood of Balnagrave planted in 1964. The main compartments run from 39 to 50 and planted in years 1956 to 1958. This well worn version shows the main species as Scots pine but with substantial areas of Norway spruce and Douglas fir and also some Lodgepole pine and larch species. Note the sawmill site in Balvraid Wood most likely the site of the mobile mill when the original wood was felled. The money calculations in the top left hand corner are in old currency but no indication of subject.

It is likely this version of the map was the copy retained by the local forester and used fairly frequently.
