RSFS outing to Glendye Forest

Frank Sheridan, Forest Manager on Fasque Estate, explains the design and layout of the new Glendye Forest with the aid of a large map. The new planting on this heather moorland was controversial at the time as there were concerns in some quarters that the heather moorland habitat and scenic environment in eastern Scotland was rapidly diminishing and under threat from forestry expansion.
