Joint Forestry Societies’ Tour of North Scot

A large tour group consisting of members of the Royal Scottish, English, Welsh and Northern Ireland Forestry Societies tour the forests in North Scotland and now in Bogallan Nursery to discuss ‘Elite Sitka spruce’ production. Richard Ogilvie greets the visitors and is assisted by Mike Ashmole on the left. The other people lined up to the right Earl of Yarborough, John Keenleyside (Chief Forester Forestry Commission Research), Sandy Calder (Assist Conservator North Scotland), Jim Atterson (Conservator North Scotland) and on extreme right Finlay MacRae. The photograph in the PDF shows the group looking inside the large polytunnels to view the tree production and also receive some refreshments.
