A large tour group consisting of members of the Royal Scottish, English, Welsh and Northern Ireland Forestry Societies tour the forests in North Scotland and now in Culloden Forest at an area where the soil profile is exposed. Graham Gill (Inverness Forest District Manager is addressing the group and beside him with the spade is Steve Brown (Forester responsible for forest soil surveys).
In front of the Landrover is Alastair MacLeod and Steve Smith of Inverness Forest District; at the back of the vehicle Sandy Calder (Assist Conservator North Scotland) and on far side of Graham Gill is Jim Atterson (Conservator North Scotland).

The PDF has another view of the listening group and the last image shows another soil pit with very wet and gley conditions at the back of which Alastair MacLeod (District Forester Inverness FD) is explaining a point with the help of the loudspeaker held by Andy Little.
