Joint Forestry Societies’ Tour of North Scot
The photograph is courtesy of the family of George Dey. George took many forestry photographs in his forestry career and many of those are now shown on this web site. Check under ‘Groups’ and George Dey Collection.
A large tour group consisting of members of the Royal Scottish, English, Welsh and Northern Ireland Forestry Societies tour the forests in North Scotland and now in Rothiemurchus Estate they are addressed by the owner John Grant in a native pinewood area. The PDF shows the members listening and then being treated to some ‘refreshments’ as they picnic lunch by Loch Gamhna. The Earl of Yarborough and Bill Wright are partaking of the hospitality also.
