RSFS (Northern) at Creag Meagaidh Nature Reserve

Date Added: 18 March 2013 Contributor: Norman Davidson Year of Photo: 1987 Picture No: 1756

The photograph is courtesy of the family of George Dey. George took many forestry photographs in his forestry career and many of those are now shown on this web site. Check under ‘Groups’ and George Dey Collection.

The group are gathered in bright sunshine on Creag Meagaidh Nation Nature Reserve as at the time managed by NCC (Scotland) which in time reformed as SNH. The Reserve has the long term aim of restoring the native tree and vegetation habitat by the controlling the grazing pressure. Dick Balharrry is easily recognisable with beard and green jacket. Can any others be named?

The last photograph in the PDF shows the RSFS group having a picnic among the heater in bloom.
