Very fetching! If memory serves me correctly these helmets lay around in various fire stores for a great many years and I have to say I never actually saw one being used. They were I believe supposed to identify the highest FC authority at a major incident such as a forest fire and perhaps a modest attempt to keep up with the fire service head gear, lots of which would also be on the scene.
